Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is one of my favourite teenage novels (I have many!)

It is a fast-paced novel, told from the alternating viewpoints of Nick and Norah. The story begins from Nick's perspective. He is totally absorbed in playing bass in a band, that is, until he sees his ex in the crowd and goes to pieces. What follows is a memorable night as Nick and Norah move from one venue to another. Razor-sharp and contemporary.
